Youth

Children and youth are part of everything that happens at Grace Church. Children are always welcome in worship and are encouraged to receive Communion from the time of their baptism onward.

OUR NURSERY

Susan Senneville, our Nursery Care Provider

Our youngest children can spend the first part of the service in the Nursery, joining their families at the time of the Peace.

Nursery care is available on Sundays from 9:30 to 12 Noon in our cheerful Nursery room immediately downstairs from the church courtyard entrance.  The Nursery is staffed by our highly professional Nursery Care provider, Susan Senneville. Susan is assisted by volunteers on a rotating basis. Childcare is also provided for parish events as needed.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our church school is an exciting mixed-age classroom where children from the ages 3 1/2 to 12 learn and play together. Class starts at 10:30 and children rejoin their families for communion.

Our goal is to teach children the way of Christ, not only in the church but also in the world. Using the curriculum, Weaving God’s Promises, we hope to foster the spiritual formation and growth of our children in Christ’s love and mercy.

ST. MICHAEL’S CHIMERS

On the 3rd Sunday of the month (and on special occasions) the St. Michael’s Chimers, a chime group composed of the youth of Grace church perform during the service. Practices for this group occur during Sunday school.

Children are asked to be present at 10 AM on performance days for a final rehearsal.

YOUTH INVOLVEMENT

We encourage our youth to be involved with all of our out-reach and in-reach ministries, they are an integral part of our parish community. You can expect to see them participating in worship services, hosting coffee hour, and volunteering at community events like Project Laundry Love and the Doctor Seuss Breakfast.
